Registration Policy

This process is one used by IOLI, The Lace Museum, and other lace conferences.
  1. When a class is set up with date, time, place, cost and type of lace to be studied, a registration form will be placed in the Pillow Talk Newsletter and on-line for all GCL members to see.
  2. If you are interested in taking the class, you must fill out the registration form, submit the full amount along with a check or money order made out to Gold Country Lacemakers and mail it to the chairperson indicated. All registration forms must be postmarked ON or AFTER the designated date indicated on the registration form.
  3. Your registration will be accepted on the envelope by the United States Post Office.

TBD Basic Bobbin Lace I Donna Van Wagenen This get together contains information on all equipment and its use to work bobbin lace. It helps you to prepare to make lace followed by two samplers. In the samplers, you will learn how to begin, the stitches used, hanging bobbins to start, working through a passive pair to the footside and a simple outer edge. There is no teacher's fee for this 'Get Together'. If interested, contact Donna.
TBD Basic Bobbin Lace II Donna Van Wagenen This two day 'Get Together' is a continuation of the Basic Bobbin Lace I. More emphasis will be placed on reading diagrams, starts and finishes, broken thread solutions, pivot pins, plus other pin terms, magic threads, crossings and gimp use. We will have smaller groups for these basics two day gatherings. There is no teacher's fee for this 'Get Together'. If interested, please contact Donna.
